ALAIN, "coffretier"In the past, Alain Talbot has operated carving studios and he taught this art. Early in 1999, he opened his artisan workshop and focused on one speciality: artistic wooden boxes or caskanets.
After some research into the field, he decided to specialise in working with fine Quebec woods. From the reaction of people who first saw his caskanets, he realised that the use of native Quebec woods piqued both the appreciation and curiosity of his customers.
There is no limit to Alain Talbots creative spirit. He has made an ancient profession come to life again and took that name for his line of work: coffretier or caskenet-maker.
